Detect disease early with advanced testing and risk analysis. Our screening includes targeted MRI and CT scanning, advanced lab tests, liquid biopsies, and AI analysis, with expert oversight and integration.
Preventing the Preventable
We map your body and personal risks to find the earliest signs of disease, long before symptoms appear.
Cardiovascular disease is the #1 cause of death, and nearly half of all heart attacks occur in individuals with normal cholesterol levels. We utilize the most advanced Photon Counting CT Scanner ever made, and the first clinically available in Southern California, to visualize the coronary arteries of the heart in exquisite detail with AI plaque characterization. Instead of waiting for reduced blood flow or blockages, we can evaluate the underlying disease, and treat it with precision.
Neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s can begin 10+ years before symptoms emerge. We use AI-assisted quantitative MRI as well as biomarker and genome testing to assess your risks and monitor changes in specific brain regions over time—allowing us to intervene proactively.
Narrowing of the blood vessels in the neck and brain can cause progressive but silent micro-strokes, affecting over a third of adults by age 70, and significantly increasing dementia risk. We use noninvasive neurovascular imaging (MRI/MRA) which is extremely sensitive at detecting narrowed vessels as well as aneurysms—which are often highly treatable.
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death, with over 50% of cases found at Stage 4, with a survival rate less than 10%. We use regular low-dose lung CTs to detect abnormalities early, when surgery can still completely remove the cancer and the survival rate is 90%. We also monitor for a variety of chronic conditions like COPD, helping protect long-term lung function.
Colon cancer is the 2nd deadliest cancer in the US, and in addition to regular colonoscopy, we improve early detection with regular non-invasive cancer DNA testing.
Pancreatic cancer is the 3rd deadliest cancer, and is almost always at stage 4 by the time symptoms develop. We can find it early using cancer blood testing as well as focused MRI.
Fatty liver disease is an exploding silent pandemic, and can develop even in "healthy" people at normal body weight. We now know it is a core driver of metabolic health, cirrhosis, and early mortality. We are able to quantify liver health and fat distribution in 30 seconds with a focused MRI, and bring your liver back into balance before permanent damage occurs.
Kidney and bladder cancers are often slow growing and curable if caught early, however there is no insurance covered screening test available, and most are not found until late stage. We assess your genetic risk for kidney disease, and screen for cancers with focused MRI and cancer blood testing.
Prostate cancer is highly treatable when detected early but remains the second-leading cause of cancer death among men. Ovarian cancer is frequently diagnosed late, contributing to a survival rate below 50%. We utilize multi-parametric MRI, advanced lab testing, and genomic screening to detect these cancers early.

We are happy to answer any additional questions you may have, please call us at (760) 674-3818 or book a consult to learn more.
Most in-person testing is completed in a single day, with imaging, labs, and vitals coordinated efficiently. Plan for between 2-4 hours on-site, depending on the scope of your screening.
Results are typically available within 1 to 2 weeks. After your imaging and lab data are reviewed by our sub-specialist radiologists and integrative physicians, you will receive a comprehensive report during your scheduled results consultation.
Yes. With your permission, we will provide a copy of your full report that can be shared with your primary care physician or any other specialists involved in your care.
Most traditional healthcare is reactive and insurance-based, meaning tests are often only ordered after symptoms appear. Doctors and health systems are often not incentivized to order these more advanced screening studies, and the care you receive is heavily dictated by what insurance will pay for. Additionally, medical guideline recommendations are based on balancing the cost and benefits for large populations of people, not optimizing for individual lifespan.
At Avant, we take a proactive approach, employing the most cutting-edge technology that is currently available in order optimize the personal longevity of each individual.
If an abnormality is found, you will be guided through next steps by our consulting physician. This may include additional imaging, specialty referrals, or lifestyle and treatment recommendations based on the nature and urgency of the finding.
Indeterminate findings are not uncommon in preventative screening, but our expertise allows us to effectively minimize the need for follow-up invasive procedures. Our team will carefully assess the level of risk and create a plan, most often relying on short-term surveillance imaging, however, for some findings we may still recommend further evaluation with biopsy or endoscopy.
Yes. Your results will be synthesized into a personalized health report, including clear recommendations and actionable next steps tailored to your goals, risk factors, and findings.
Certain insurance payors may offer coverage for some services, and if we discover specific findings or risk factors, you may be eligible for additional insurance covered care. However, in most cases, our services are not covered by insurance because they are focused on proactive health optimization rather than diagnosis of active disease. You may also be able to use HSA or FSA funds to pay for your screening.
